We are looking for Clinical Coding Auditors as per the below description:
Job Location: Abu Dhabi, UAE.
Qualification:
- Must possess one of the below certifications:
- CPMA – AAPC (Certified Professional Medical Auditor) certificate, OR
- CCS (Certified coding specialist), OR
- CCS-P (Certified Coding Specialist-Physician-based)
- Minimum 2 years experience with HAAD System.
- Thorough knowledge of ICD9-CM, ICD10-CM and CPT-4.
- Thorough understanding of current HAAD Audit Methodology and CCAP.
- Understanding of Regional specifications of Coding Standards and claims adjudication in UAE as compared to US Healthcare in operations.
- Knowledge of UAE hospital’s charging and reimbursement as well as HAAD adjudication rules.
- Review of records against appropriate criteria sets and clinical guidelines.
- Audit medical records for Accuracy and Completeness of documentation.
- Document findings in electronic systems for future reference and audit reports.
- Understanding of HIPAA (Health Information Portability and Accountability Act).
- Working experience with Physical and Electronic Medical records (Optional).
- Understanding and Compliance with Confidentiality standards.
Job Role & Responsibilities:
The Auditor is responsible for all phases of the third-party audit. The Auditor has management capabilities and experience and has the authority to make final decisions regarding the conduct of the audit and any audit observations.
The auditors tasks and requirements are ruled by international standards like the ISO 17021 or ISO 19011 codes. The subject of the audits are the management systems, product certification and personnel certifications in the fields of quality, environmental protection and health and safety mainly.
The Auditor’s responsibilities include the annual program of the audits activities covering also:
- Assisting with the selection of other audit team members.
- Prepare presentations and related materials for technical purposes.
- Preparation of the AUDIT PLANS and Prepare audit reports in line with the audit plan
- Representing the AUDIT TEAM with auditee’s management.
- Conduct and Leading audits.
- Submitting the AUDIT REPORTS.
- Managing and taking decisions on the audit’s follow-up (for example acceptance of the corrective actions plans submitted from organizations).
- Maintaining relationships with the organizations, already certified or asking for certifications.
- Participate in events such as seminars, luncheons, trade shows, and webcasting events.
- Routinely communicate with Key Client Managers to learn about clients’ needs and demands.
